After Care Plasma Fibroblast Treatment.

Do’s and Don’t After Plasma Fibroblast treatment

Welcome to Fresh Aesthetics!

At Fresh Aesthetics, we are dedicated to offering the most advanced aesthetic treatments. Our goal is to help you look and feel your best. One of the common concerns we address is droopy eyelid issues. We also address under-eye issues caused by soggy skin. These issues can make you look tired and older than you feel. As we age, the dermal layer of our skin starts to thin and produce less collagen. Additionally, the elastin fibers that provide elasticity loosen. This results in wrinkling and sagging skin. The Plasma Fibroblast Machine is designed to repair, reverse, and rejuvenate the negative effects of aging using nitrogen plasma technology. In the skilled and confident hands of the skin expert at Fresh Aesthetics, a Plasma Pen treatment can tighten and lift the skin. It can also resurface and regenerate nearly anywhere on the skin. All these results look natural.

What is the Plasma Pen, and How Does It Work?

Before we jump into the aftercare, let’s first discuss the details of this skin resurfacing procedure. The Plasma Fibroblast is an advanced, minimally-invasive, skin-lifted device that can treat wrinkles, skin tags, and creeping skin texture. The Plasma Machine is used to perform fibroblast therapy. Fibroblasts are common cells of connective tissue in the body that produce collagen.

The fibroblasting process involves ionizing gasses from the atmospheric air, which creates a microelectrical discharge or ARC. Although the ARC never physically touches the skin, it causes micro-injuries to the epidermal layer. It also generates heat, which together disrupts the deeper dermal structures. Once the fibroblasts are restored, collagen productions start to flow, tightening and firming the skin.

My Experience with PLASMA FIBROBLAST at Fresh Aesthetics

Initial Consultation

My journey to fresher eyes began with a consultation at Fresh Aesthetics. I also sought a tighter and lifted young-looking neck or decollete. The knowledgeable team took the time to understand my concerns about wrinkled and sagging skin. They explained how PLASMA treatments could help. They assessed my skin and outlined the expected results and the number of sessions required.

The Procedure

The PLASMA treatments were simple and efficient:

  1. First numbing the skin with topical creams to make it as comfortable as possible and skin cleaned.
  2. When the skin is numbed, the Fibroblast machine is used to create tiny dents on the skin. It does not feel too bad, thanks to the numbing.
  3. Clean the skin and apply fast recovery creams.

Preparing for Plasma Fibroblast Treatment at Fresh Aesthetics

If you’re considering plasma fibroblast treatment. It’s important to properly prepare to ensure the best possible results. At Fresh Aesthetics, we want to make sure you are fully informed and ready for your treatment. Here are some steps you can take to prepare for your PRP or PRF under-eye bag treatment:

1. Consultation with a Specialist

Before your treatment, schedule a consultation with one of our qualified professionals at Fresh Aesthetics. During this consultation, we will assess your skin and discuss your medical history, including any medications or supplements you are taking. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the procedure.

2. Avoid Blood Thinners

In the days leading up to your treatment, avoid taking any blood-thinning medications or supplements, such as:

  • Aspirin
  • Ibuprofen
  • Naproxen
  • Vitamin E
  • Fish oil
  • Certain herbal supplements (e.g., garlic, ginkgo biloba, ginseng)

These substances can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding during and after the procedure. If you are on prescription blood thinners, consult your doctor before stopping any medication.

3. Stay Hydrated

Proper hydration is crucial for optimal blood flow and overall health. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to ensure your body is well-hydrated.

4. Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine

Alcohol and caffeine can dehydrate your body and affect the healing process. Avoid consuming alcohol and limit caffeine intake for at least 24 hours before your treatment.

5. Maintain a Healthy Diet

Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins can support your body’s healing processes. Avoid foods high in sugar and processed ingredients, as they can contribute to inflammation.

6. Get Adequate Sleep

Ensure you get plenty of rest in the days leading up to your treatment. Proper sleep helps your body to heal and rejuvenate more effectively.

7. Avoid Sun Exposure

Excessive sun exposure can damage your skin and affect the results of your treatment. Wear sunscreen and avoid prolonged sun exposure in the week leading up to your appointment.

8. Plan for Recovery Time

While Plasma Fibroblast treatments are minimally invasive, you may experience some swelling after the procedure. Plan your schedule accordingly, allowing some downtime to recover if needed.

9. Cleanse Your Skin

On the day of your treatment, cleanse your face thoroughly to remove any makeup, oils, or impurities. Arrive with a clean face to ensure the best possible environment for the procedure.

10. Follow Pre-Treatment Instructions

Your specialist at Fresh Aesthetics will provide you with specific pre-treatment instructions tailored to your individual needs. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure the best results and minimize any potential side effects.

Conclusion

Preparing for your treatment is essential for achieving the best results. By following these steps and the guidance of our professionals at Fresh Aesthetics, you can ensure a smooth and successful treatment experience. After PLASMA FIBROBLAST Treatment:

After a plasma fibroblast treatment, follow a strict aftercare routine centered on

keeping the area clean and dry, avoiding sun exposure, and resisting the urge to pick at the carbon crusts. Adhering to these guidelines is crucial for proper healing and optimal results.

Immediate Aftercare (First 48 Hours)

  • Swelling and Discomfort: Expect mild to moderate swelling and a sunburn-like sensation. Apply a clean, dry, cold compress (like an ice pack wrapped in a clean cloth) for 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off, to reduce swelling. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen; paracetamol is acceptable if needed.
  • Keep Area Dry: Do not get the treated area wet for the first 48 hours.
  • Cleansing: Avoid cleansing the area until the following day.
  • Sleep Elevated: Sleep on your back with your head elevated using extra pillows to help reduce swelling, especially for facial or neck treatments.
  • Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, swimming, and any activity that causes excessive sweating, heat, or steam, as this can intensify inflammation and lead to infection.
  • Products: Do not apply any products, including makeup, mascara, sunblock, creams, or ointments (unless specifically provided by your technician) to the treated area.

Following Days After Treatment

  • Cleansing: After the initial 48 hours, gently cleanse the area daily with clean hands and cool or lukewarm water. Use a mild, unscented cleanser, such as Cetaphil or Dove unscented soap, dabbing gently rather than rubbing. Pat dry with a clean tissue or soft towel.
  • Carbon Crusts/Scabs: Tiny brown or black carbon crusts (dots) will form. DO NOT pick, scratch, or forcefully remove these crusts. They are essential for the natural healing process and will fall off on their own within 5 to 10 days. Premature removal can cause scarring and hyperpigmentation.
  • Moisture/Itching: The area may feel tight, dry, and itchy as it heals. Use the specific aftercare product or balm provided by your technician as directed to keep the area moist and relieve itching.
  • Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 12 weeks after treatment. Once the scabs have fallen off, you must apply a broad-spectrum physical sunblock (containing zinc oxide and titanium oxide) with SPF 50 or higher to the area daily, even on cloudy days.
  • Makeup: Avoid all makeup until all the scabs have naturally fallen off. Once healed, mineral-based makeup is preferred initially.
  • Skincare Products: Do not use skin care products containing active ingredients like glycolic, salicylic, or retinoic acids, retinols/Retin-A, or physical scrubs/exfoliants for at least 21 days (or as advised by your technician) after the scabs have fallen off.
  • Lifestyle:
    • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
    • Avoid smoking and alcohol, as they can impair the healing process.
    • Consider taking high-dose Vitamin C supplements to boost your immune system and collagen production.

Following these aftercare instructions diligently is essential to achieve the best possible results and prevent complications. Full results are typically visible after 8 to 12 weeks.

Results and Reflections

Part 1: The Healing Journey (What to Expect Week-by-Week)

Plasma fibroblast is a non-invasive but intense treatment that creates micro-trauma to trigger collagen remodeling. The healing is very visual.

Days 1-3: Carbon Crust Formation

  • Immediate Aftermath: The tiny dark spots (carbon crusts) where the plasma pen touched are very visible. They look like coffee grounds or pepper flakes stuck to the skin.
  • Swelling: This is the peak swelling period, especially for areas like eyelids. It can be significant, making the area look puffy and tight.
  • Sensation: The area may feel warm, tight, and sensitive, like a mild to moderate sunburn.
  • Key Care: Do not get wet. Absolutely no picking. Use aftercare ointment (like Bepanthen or provided serum) as directed.

Days 4-7: Crusts Dry & Begin to Shed

  • Appearance: The dark crusts start to dry out, darken further, and may begin to itch. They start to lift and flake off naturally, usually between days 5-10.
  • Reflection: This is the most socially challenging phase. The skin looks patchy and flaky. Picking is the #1 cause of scarring and poor results. Let them fall off on their own.

Weeks 2-4: Pink, Fresh Skin Revealed

  • Appearance: Once crusts shed, the new skin underneath will be pink, salmon-colored, or reddish (post-inflammatory erythema). It is delicate and smooth but visibly different in color.
  • Sensitivity: This new skin is highly vulnerable to sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Religious SPF 50+ use is non-negotiable.
  • Reflection: The initial “tightening” you might see is often due to swelling subsiding and surface smoothing. True collagen-building hasn’t started yet.

Weeks 4-8: The “Waiting Phase” & True Collagen Building

  • Appearance: The redness fades gradually. The treated area may look normal or have slight blotchiness.
  • Behind the Scenes: This is when fibroblasts are most active, producing new collagen and elastin. You may feel like “nothing is happening”—this is normal. The skin is remodeling from within.

Months 2-6: Final Results Mature

  • Results Become Visible: The true lifting, tightening, and smoothing effects become apparent as new collagen firms the skin. This is a gradual improvement.
  • Multiple Sessions: For significant laxity or wrinkles, 1-3 sessions (spaced 8+ weeks apart) are usually needed for optimal results.

Part 2: Typical Results & Effectiveness

What Plasma Fibroblast is BEST For:

  • Skin Tightening: Mild to moderate eyelid hooding (blepharoplasty effect), lifting droopy corners of the mouth, improving jawline definition.
  • Wrinkle Reduction: Especially fine to medium lines (crow’s feet, forehead lines, smoker’s lines).
  • Skin Resurfacing: Improving texture, reducing the appearance of shallow acne scars, smoothing bumps.
  • Lesion Removal: Effectively removing skin tags, seborrheic keratosis, and syringomas.

What Plasma Fibroblast is NOT Ideal For:

  • Deep wrinkles or severe sagging. (Consider surgical options or deeper energy devices).
  • Melasma or active inflammatory acne.
  • Dark Skin Tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI): High risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) or hypopigmentation. Requires extreme caution and a specialist.
  • Removing “stretch marks.” Results here are very inconsistent.

Part 3: Common Reflections & Candid Considerations

The Positives:

  • Non-Surgical Alternative: A good option for those seeking noticeable improvement without surgery, scalpels, or general anesthesia.
  • Downtime is Social, Not Functional: You can do light tasks at home, but you cannot go out in public during the first 7-10 days.
  • Long-Lasting Results: When successful, results can last 2-3 years (similar to the natural aging process of your skin), as it stimulates your own collagen.
