PRP is a form of cosmetic injectable treatment that uses the client’s own platelet rich plasma. The plasma component contains stem cells and growth rich platelets.
Treatment
At Fresh Aesthetics, we use PRP and PRF to rejuvenate the skin. The platelets that are within the plasma contain growth factors, which stimulate skin tissue repair and regeneration, as well as new collagen and elastin production. This process results in skin that’s healthier, firmer, tighter, and more youthful-looking. When patients arrive for their treatment, blood is drawn from a vein and placed into a centrifuge so that the plasma can be separated from the red blood cells and other impurities. The plasma is then placed into a syringe so that it can be injected into the face. It can also be used in conjunction with other treatments such as microneedling, microdermabrasion, facials, and dermal fillers.
Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is the next generation of PRP therapy and was first used in dentistry and is now used in the NHS too.
Who is Suitable?
PRP/PRF Fillers are most suitable for those who have loss of facial volume resulting in lines, creases, lack of definition and general sagginess. These patients might otherwise have considered an injectable filler, but PRP FIllers offer a more natural solution by using the powerful healing factors held within the patient’s own blood and avoiding any use of artificial substances.
